Public Notice: Potential Scam Email

It is possible that Marmora and Lake ratepayers will or have received a phishing email that looks like it was sent by the Municipality. The email may appear to be sent from ebiling@marmoraandlake.ca or another @marmoraandlake.ca address, and contain the Marmora and Lake logo. It may refer to electronic fund transfer (EFT) remittance details, including a QR code. THIS IS A SCAM. The Municipality has not (and will not) send out an email with any details pertaining to EFTs.

If you receive(d) an email like this one, do not open the attachment or scan any codes therein. If you are suspicious of any emails that seem to have come from the Municipality, please call Town Hall at 613-472-2629.
