Mayor's Report for March 19, 2024

March 5th

I participated in a meeting of the Doctor Recruitment Committee. We are continuing to pursue opportunities for future vacancies.

I presided over the regular meeting of Council.

March 6th

I chaired the regular meeting of the Hastings Prince Edward Board of Health.

March 7th

I chaired the regular Parish Council Meeting for Sacred Heart Parish.

March 12th

I attended the office to sign documents and meet with staff.

March 13th

I participated in telephone meetings regarding budget and telephone meetings with the Medical Officer of Health.

March 14th

I participated in a special meeting with the Board of Health Chairs in preparation for a meeting being held on Tuesday, March 19th, with the Chief Medical Officer of Health for Ontario.

At noon, I participated in our regular meeting with the sub committee members of the Hastings Prince Edward Board of Health regarding the upcoming meeting this morning.

March 18th

I participated in a special meeting of the Transportation Services Advisory Committee. I travelled to Kingston to attend the next meeting of the Board of Health Merger Committee.

March 19th

Today, I attended the Board of Health Merger Meeting in Kingston. Consultants completed a feasibility study and presented the report to the Committee. Dr. Kieran Moore, Chief Medical Officer of Health for Ontario, attended the afternoon session.
