Public Notice: Please be careful swimming at Legion Park this week

If you are swimming at the Marmora Legion Park public beach this week, please be careful.

Heavy rainfall yesterday brought water levels up on Crowe Lake.

Crowe Valley Conservation Authority has opened the dam to allow some of the water to flow down into the Crowe River.

They expect it will stay open until early next week.

This means water flow at the beach and along the river will be faster and the current will be stronger until the dam is closed again.

Please take caution and play it safe, especially if you are visiting the beach with children.
