Election 2026: Online Schedule

Have you had a chance to check out the municipal election webpage yet? If not, you’ll find information specifically geared to voters, candidates and third party advertisers. There’s also an election schedule and - recently added - a Q&A section for candidates and potential candidates.

Here are some of the popular links:

Voters: Have you checked to make sure you’re registered to vote? If not, do so today!! Go to Elections Ontario’s RegisterToVoteON.ca to a) check if you are already on the voters’ list, b) register to be added to the list, or c) make changes to your personal information. You have until August 12th to get on the list.

Candidates: The nomination period is officially open! You can pick up your nomination papers at Town Hall, or print them from the candidate link above. Once For 1 and 2 have been completed (with at least 25 endorsement signatures), make an appointment with the Clerk to register as a candidate! You have until 2:00 p.m. on August 21st to register, but you can’t begin your campaign until you do.

Unofficial List of Candidates: As candidates register, you will be able to see the unofficial list at Town Hall and on the election website: https://marmoraandlake.ca/unofficial-list-of-candidates. This list will become official after 2:00 p.m. on August 21st, at the close of the nomination period, after candidates have been certified by the Clerk.

Information is being added to the election website regularly, so check back often and, if you have questions that the website doesn’t answer, reach out directly to the Clerk!

Let’s get ready to VOTE, Marmora and Lake!
