Water Main Update

Residents on the West side of Crowe River, please be advised that the main 8” ductile iron pipe supplying your area has failed in the riverbed. We are currently using a temporary fire hose across the bridge to provide water. As such, the following measures remain in effect until further notice.

πŸ””Boil Water Advisory: The boil water advisory remains in effect for the affected area (West of Crowe River) until we are able to establish a proper temporary water main. Boil water for at least 5 minutes for any use.

πŸ’§Town-Wide Water Conservation: If you are a Municipal water user in the Village of Marmora, please continue to conserve water to the best of your ability.

🚫Splash Pad Closure: The Nathan Runions Memorial Splash Pad will remain closed at this time to aid with water conservation.

πŸ”§Once the temporary main is set up, we will further assess the main for repair and/or replacement options.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as Environmental Services staff work as quickly as possible to resolve this issue. An announcement will be made as soon as these measures have been lifted. Thank you for your cooperation!
