Significant Weather Event - Update for May 24, 2022

The long weekend has come and gone, and we hope everyone in the Municipality is safe and managing alright after the damage of Saturday’s storm.

There are still many homes without power as of Tuesday morning, May 24, 2022.

Road crews have been out working on the most challenging road situations. Unfortunately, as a result of the damage, some roads in the north area of the Municipality are still impassable, leaving some residents stuck until crews can clear the way.

We ask that the public please be patient during this time. Unfortunately, there is extensive damage throughout the Municipality, and our crew will be working on this situation, likely, for weeks to come.

Please refer to Hydro One for all power outage information. Updates are available by texting or visiting their website. Unfortunately, municipal staff does not have the most up-to-date information on power restoration.
