Quinte Waste Solutions: Public Recycling Depot Closed for Public Use
Media Release
Start date: January 12, 2022
End date: January 23, 2022
Due to a recent surge in COVID 19 cases, that has affected some staff at our Material Recovery Facility, our public Recycling Depot will be closed for public use effective immediately. Recycling collection and Front Office have not been affected.
Residents may still visit our front office for blue box purchases, exchanges or battery drop off. We do ask that if you have been sick, displaying any symptoms of COVID-19, or have travelled outside of the area, please do not visit our facility. If you must visit, please note the following:
All visitors will be asked to wait outside if there is already someone in the front office area being served. The entranceway to our facility will not accommodate the recommended 6 feet apart social distancing.
All visitors MUST wear a mask while on the property that covers the nose, mouth, and chin.
If visiting our Household Hazardous & Electronic Waste Depot at 75 Wallbridge Cres:
If you are sick, do not visit the depot. If you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, you will be asked to leave, but you may return once you are no longer a high risk to staff.
Wear a mask that covers your nose mouth and chin.
Place all your household hazardous waste in the cargo area of your vehicle. If the material is not in the cargo area, you will be asked to exit the property to place the material in your cargo area before returning to the depot.
If you refuse, you may be instructed to leave the property, and your materials may be refused.
