The Municipality is changing the Economic Development Department’s focus from Tourism to Local Business. Both are still important to our overall messaging, but a shift has been made to give priority to our Local Businesses.

We have updated our communication practices to move the business and tourism-related messaging from the Municipal Facebook page and Announcements channel to its own online channels. You can now follow the Visit Marmora Facebook page and Website Channel to stay up to date on local information and services that will help build our local economy.
We understand that people have many interests and follow pages for different reasons. We also know that the Corporate Municipal voice is different from a Tourism and Marketing voice. For these reasons we have separated our various channels so that individuals can follow the information best suited for them without being inundated with news that they do not have interest in.
