A message from the Roads Department
Snow, snow, and more snow! That is the theme of this winter so far.
Your Roads Crew has been working diligently to ensure that roads and sidewalks remain as safe as possible, and they have truly been doing an amazing job! Long hours, little rest, and constant call-outs have been the norm since November, all to keep our community moving safely.
We know many residents are feeling frustrated with the continued snowfall; trust us, we feel it too! We’re all counting down the days until spring! In the meantime, our Crew will continue plowing, sanding, and salting the roads and sidewalks. Snow removal will take place whenever we can safely fit it in between plowing operations.
It is also important to note that our Roads Crew is made up of human beings. They need rest and sufficient sleep to continue working legally, safely and effectively. We can’t thank you, the public, enough for the patience, understanding and support you’ve shown throughout this demanding winter. 👷🏼♂️👷🏼♀️
Even though the snow has become tiresome to many, if we stop and take a moment to look around, there is still so much beauty in it. ❄️ Also? The first day of spring is only 57 days away! We’re getting so close!
Please continue to be kind to one another. This community never ceases to amaze us with its generosity, support and willingness to help each other. Only 57 days to go! We can make it! 🤞🏼
