❄️Community Reminder: Winter Road & Sidewalk Safety❄️

With more snow expected today, we wanted to share a quick reminder for all residents regarding winter operations.

Please move over, slow down, and give our snow plows plenty of space. These machines are large, and visibility can be limited for our operators. They are doing their very best to keep our roads clear and safe, but they need room to maneuver safely.

The same courtesy is needed for our sidewalk plow. Please ensure that:

⛄ Sidewalks are clear of obstacles

⛄ There are no basketball nets or other items blocking the sidewalks

⛄ Nothing is overhanging the sidewalk that could require the operator to stop/slow down

⚠️ We also kindly ask that parents and guardians be aware of where your children are at all times. We have already had a few incidents with kids chasing snow plows and/or playing in snowbanks near the road. Given that today is a snow day, we want to ensure everyone’s safety - that of our operators and the children of our community. 👧🏻👦🏼

Finally, please make sure you are following winter parking restrictions which are in place between the 1st day of December through the 31st day of March on any highway or street within the Municipality, between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m.

Our Crew works extremely hard to keep our roads safe during the winter season. Please give them space, slow down, and do your part to help keep everyone safe!
