Marmora and Lake Welcomes Jeff Young

The Municipality of Marmora and Lake is pleased to announce that Jeff Young has joined the Municipality as the new Manager of Parks & Recreation/Facilities, effective Tuesday, October 15th, 2024.

Following Jeff’s graduation from Sir Sanford Fleming College, he began his ten-year career within the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan’s recreation department, honing his skills and advancing to the position of Assistant Manager of Parks & Recreation/Facilities. 

Jeff expresses his enthusiasm for this new role, looking forward to working with staff, other departments and Council to provide parks and recreation experiences as well as ensuring the Municipality’s facilities are well looked after. 

When asked if he would like to share something with the Municipality, Jeff quoted a favourite song: “He looked at the fields and then his hands. All I need is what I have.”

Mayor O’Neill and Council welcome Jeff to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.  O’Neill stated that Jeff’s experience, collaborative nature and enthusiastic perspective will definitely have a positive impact on the Municipality.
