Central Hastings Transit
If you live in a Central Hastings community and you don’t have a car or a drivers’ licence, your options are severely limited. Opportunities to improve your life through new employment, skills development or education are as close as the next village or, more likely, in Belleville. But not if you can’t get there! To help overcome this obstacle, CHSN has established Central Hastings Transit.
Central Hastings Transit was created to provide people with affordable transit between Madoc Township, Marmora & Lake, Madoc Village, Tweed, Stirling/Rawdon and Belleville. In July of 2014, we purchased a new 17-seat bus with a lift and seating for 2 handicapped passengers. A second 17-seater bus, again with 2 wheelchair spaces, was added to the fleet in November of 2016.

There is a rate schedule that is calculated based on distance, number of stops, and gas prices.

Services available to seniors and adults with physical disabilities
Volunteer drivers are available for long-distance and local trips for medical appointments, shopping or social activities

This run operates on Fridays (on Statutory Holidays it will run the day before) with stops between Bancroft and Belleville. Contact Foley Bus Lines for more information regarding the schedule and fares.
