Volunteer Opportunity: Marmora & Lake Public Library Board
The Marmora & Lake Public Library Board is seeking applicants for the Board for the 2026-2030 term!
Board meetings are currently held on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the William Shannon Room, with a minimum of seven meetings each year. Consider applying if you are interested in:
Making a difference in the Marmora and Lake community;
Working as part of a board governance team;
Learning how a rural library serves the community;
Advocating for the library and its fantastic team; and
Contributing expertise in communications, finance and/or marketing.
Interested candidates are asked to send a letter outlining their interest in board membership. The current board will review applications at the November meeting and select candidates to recommend to Council, who will appoint all members by bylaw at the start of the 2026-2030 term. Applicants will be contacted the week following the November 19th board meeting.
