Mayor and Council Recognize Jamie Nicolson on his Retirement After Two Decades with Marmora and Lake

Marmora and Lake Council took a moment at its regular meeting on Sept. 1 to recognize Jamie Nicolson's longstanding service to our Municipality, and his much-deserved retirement.

Jamie worked with the Marmora and Lake Environmental Services Department for 21 years as an Overall Responsible Operator. He officially retired at the end of August.

As an Overall Responsible Operator, Jamie was tasked with keeping our water and wastewater systems operating safely and reliably around the clock.

Jamie spent the bulk of his career with our Municipality, dedicating his professional journey to serving our organization. During his time here, he also provided guidance and mentorship to the next generation of water and wastewater operators.

Mayor O'Neill and Council thanked Jamie for his dedication to Municipality, our community, and our residents.

Jamie will be missed – both personally and professionally – and we wish him the very best in his retirement.
