Election 2026: Candidate Nominations Close Today

This is the Municipal Election’s version of “last call!”

Candidate nominations for municipal Council close today at 2 p.m. If you are still planning to file, today is your last chance! Call for an appointment, or show up at Town Hall before 2 o'clock. The Clerk will meet with potential candidates on a first-come, first-served basis.

After months of filing nominations, all Ontario municipalities will soon know who is officially seeking office.

The next step? Candidate certification by the Municipal Clerk. The list of certified candidates will be available by 4 p.m. on Monday, August 24.
