Mayor and CAO meet with MPP Ric Bresee ahead of AMO Conference

Today, Mayor Jan O’Neill and Chief Administrative Officer John F. Connolly met with Ric Bresee, Member of Provincial Parliament for Hastings-Lennox and Addington, to discuss municipal priorities ahead of the 2026 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference.

AMO’s annual conference is being held in Ottawa from August 16 to 19. It provides a timely opportunity for federal, provincial and local leaders to address the issues that are top of mind for local governments. Mayor O’Neill will join thousands of participants representing 444 municipalities across Ontario.

Conference attendees will participate in hundreds of delegation meetings between municipal governments and provincial ministers. In addition, delegates will have an opportunity to pose direct questions to provincial cabinet ministers.
