Election 2026: Election website updated regularly!

With 12 weeks to go, do you have questions about the election? If so, head over to the municipal election website, which has information specifically geared to voters and candidates. It also includes the election schedule and the unofficial list of candidates.

You’ll learn all kinds of things, like the fact that candidates cannot begin campaigning until they have filed their nomination papers with the Clerk, and that election signs are not permitted until August 31st!

Here are some of the popular links:

Voters: Have you checked to make sure you’re on the Voters’ LIst? If not, do so today!! RegisterToVoteON.ca

Candidates: The nomination period closes in three weeks - at 2:00 p.m. on August 21st. You can pick up nomination papers at Town Hall, or print them from the candidate link above. Once Form 1 and 2 have been completed (with at least 25 endorsement signatures), make an appointment with the Clerk to register as a candidate!

Information is being added to the election website regularly, so check back often. If you have questions that the website doesn’t answer, reach out to the Clerk!
