Call for Applicants: Central Hastings Family Health Team Board of Directors

The Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake is seeking applicants to fill a current vacancy on the Central Hastings Family Health Team Board of Directors.

The Central Hastings Family Health Team is a registered non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. The 13 Directors of the corporation include four physicians as well as representatives from the four catchment areas, including Marmora and Lake.

The ideal candidate is a resident of Marmora and Lake with a keen interest in primary healthcare and a broad range of skills, including:

  • Strategic planning

  • Program development

  • Finance and budgeting

  • Risk management

  • Human resources

For this particular vacancy, a candidate with experience in finance and/or human resources would be most beneficial. They should also have awareness and knowledge of healthcare needs within our community.

The Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and holds sub-committee meetings from time to time. As a Board member, attendance at these meetings is required. Interested candidates are asked to send a letter outlining their interest in the Board, including a summary of relevant experience and skills. Council will review applications at the August 4th meeting and select a candidate to nominate.
