Election 2026: Candidate nominations open tomorrow!

Those planning to run for office in the 2026 Marmora and Lake Municipal Election can begin filing nominations tomorrow - Friday, May 1, 2026.

Please make note of the following:

  • To file your nomination, an appointment with the Clerk is required (clerk@marmoraandlake.ca).

  • You must complete and bring Form 1 and Form 2* with you (including at least 25 endorsement signatures).

  • Your election campaign cannot begin until your nomination has been filed with the Clerk, which means funds cannot be raised or spent before that time.

  • Your Candidate Nomination Package will be provided by the Clerk during your appointment.

*Forms 1 and 2 are available on the municipal website or hard copies can be picked up at Town Hall.
