Public Notice: Remembrance Day Office Closure

The Marmora and Lake Municipal Office will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, in observance of Remembrance Day. The office will reopen on Thursday, November 12, at 8 a.m.

For those looking to attend a local service, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 237 - Marmora is hosting an event at our local cenotaph on November 11.

A Remembrance Day parade will leave the Legion at 10:30 a.m. and proceed to the cenotaph at Memorial Park (9 Matthew Street). The parade will be followed by a ceremony at the cenotaph conducted by Rev. Paul Hutt, and will include the laying of commemorative wreaths in honour of those who served.

Following the ceremony, everyone is invited back to Marmora Legion Branch 237 for lunch and an opportunity to gather together as a community.
