Update: August 13, 2025 - Wildland Fire Halo18

As of this morning, MNR has indicated that Halo18 continues to burn and remains approximately 12.8 ha in size.  While the recent rain has helped, the wildland fire is now considered held, meaning it is contained and will not spread any further. According to MNR there are four (4) crews on the ground, who are working with continued air support.

We once again ask the public to respect previous announcements and give fire and emergency personnel the space they need to do their work.

We thank everyone involved- especially the MNR crews and our colleagues in the Marmora, Limerick and Wollaston Fire Services- for working tirelessly to keep us safe.
