Update: Afternoon August 11, 2025 – Wildfire HAL018

MNR has informed us that the status of the wildland fire (HAL018) remains much the same as this morning.  The fire is still holding in size at 12.8 ha in size but is now considered tentatively contained.  The three (3) crews remain on the ground along with air support.

 The Mayor and members of Council of Marmora and Lake extend their gratitude to the Fire Services of both Limerick and Wollaston Townships who have been working closely with our Fire and Emergency  Services to ensure the safety of personnel on the ground in the north of the Municipality.
