Total Solar Eclipse - April 8, 2024
On Monday, April 8th, 2024, part of Ontario will experience a total solar eclipse. The moon will pass between the sun and earth, casting a shadow over the area. The path of totality will cover parts of Hastings County, while Marmora and Lake will experience 99.2% of the eclipse.
In Marmora and Lake, the eclipse will commence around 2:00 p.m. and conclude around 4:35 p.m. The darkest period will occur around 3:21 p.m. Please be advised that looking directly at the sun during the eclipse can result in eye damage or blindness.
