Public Notice: Watermain Repairs, February 28th, 2024

The Environmental Services Department will be making emergency watermain repairs on Forsyth Street and Linn Street on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024.

 Repairs will begin at 9 a.m., with an expected completion time of 5 p.m. the same day.

  • Traffic on Forsyth and Linn could be reduced to one lane during repairs. Traffic control will be in place. Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and take alternate routes.

  • These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on Forsyth, Linn and Cameron Street will experience a temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and possible coloured water while the repairs are taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.

  • If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
