Notice of Public Meeting Concerning a Proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendment
TAKE NOTICE that the Municipality of Marmora and Lake Council will hold a Public Meeting on March 1, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. by video conference to consider a proposed zoning bylaw amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act for the application numbered as 2022-02P. The meeting will be conducted VIRTUALLY and be streamed via YouTube, which is linked via www.marmoraandlake.ca.
Location of Subject Lands: An application to amend the zone classification for property legally described as Part of Lot 8, Concession 6 (Geographic Municipality of Marmora) and municipally addressed as 226 Station Road in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake, Hastings County has been received. A key map showing the location of the subject property is attached to this Notice.
The purpose and effect of the proposed zoning bylaw amendment is: To rezone a portion of the subject lands from the Marginal Agriculture (MA) Zone to the Rural Residential (RR) Zone to fulfil Condition Number 8 of consent to sever application number B58/21.
Additional information relating to the application for the proposed zoning bylaw amendment is available for inspection by any member of the public during regular business hours at the municipal office, 12 Bursthall Street, Marmora, ON, K0K 2M0.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake on the proposed zoning
bylaw amendment, you must make a written request to Municipality of Marmora and Lake at 12 Bursthall Street, P.O. Box 459, Marmora, ON, K0K 2M0.
ANY PERSON may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support
of or in opposition to the proposed zoning bylaw amendment. Please contact Jennifer Bennett by Monday, February 28, 2022, to participate.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake before the bylaw is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral or written submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake before the bylaw is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
