Notice of Public Meeting: Concerning a Proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendment 2021-39P
TAKE NOTICE that the Municipality of Marmora and Lake Council will hold a Public Meeting on SEPTEMBER 7th, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 12 Bursthall Street, Marmora, ON, to consider a proposed zoning bylaw amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act for the application numbered as Bylaw Number 2021-39P. The meeting will be audio live-streamed and recorded. Public participation will be conducted via teleconference.
Location of the Subject Lands:
An application to amend the Zone classification for property located on 6 Madoc Street, Marmora, ON legally described as Part of Lot 4 on Plan 83, Lot 2 on Plan 129, Part 1 on Registered Plan 21R-14625, Part 6 on Registered Plan 21R-14625 (Marmora); Municipality of Marmora and Lake, Hastings County has been received. A sketch showing the location of the subject property is attached to this Notice.
Purpose:
The purpose and effect of the proposed zoning bylaw amendment are:
To rezone a portion of the subject lands from Residential Second Density (R2) Zone to the Multiple Residential (MR) Zone to permit the development of a fourplex.
Additional information and material relating to the application for the proposed zoning bylaw amendments are available for inspection by any member of the public during regular business hours at the municipal office, located at 12 Bursthall Street, Marmora, ON, K0K 2M0.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake on the proposed zoning bylaw amendment, you must make a written request to The Deputy Clerk.
ANY PERSON can make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed zoning bylaw amendments. Residents wanting to submit written comments or register to speak at the meeting shall contact the Deputy Clerk no later than 12:00 p.m. on September 6th, 2021. Written submissions will be read by the Clerk, and speakers will be forwarded Zoom Teleconference details to participate.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake before the bylaw is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral or written submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake before the bylaw is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
