2021 Summer Employment Opportunities

The Municipality of Marmora and Lake is seeking to fill eight (8) summer positions throughout the Municipality.

  1. The Transportation Services Department is looking to fill four (4) positions.

    The employees will join the Public Works Crew in general labour, road construction and maintenance, flagging, trimming, patching potholes and other assigned duties.

  2. The Environmental Services Department is looking to fill one (1) position in the Landfill facility.

    The employee will monitor the disposal of waste and recycled materials, track daily material brought on to the site, handle cash, keep the site clean, sorting and other assigned duties.

  3. The Environmental Services Department is looking to fill one (1) position in the Water Treatment facility.

    The employee will assist with the daily operations of the water and wastewater treatment facilities, cleaning and assisting with maintenance of the facilities, assisting with locates and other assigned duties.

  4. The Administration Department is looking to fill one (1) position.

    The employee will assist with the daily duties including sorting mail, data entry and digitizing records, during busy times answer telephones and direct calls, tend to front counter inquiries, accept payments and other assigned duties.

  5. The Economic Development Department is looking to fill one (1) position.

    The employee will assist with the daily operations of the Marmora and Lake Tourism Centre, social media posting, assisting local businesses, the public and visitors, assisting with special events, photography and creative design for promotional marketing materials and other assigned duties.

These positions are being applied for under the Canada Summer Jobs Grant Program which requires that the successful candidates are between the ages of 15 - 30 years old.
