Trent Valley Hockey Game! 6:30 PM
ICE AND THUNDER! GET TO KNOW MORE OF MARMORA'S HOCKEY HISTORY!
Did you know there has been a book written about the Trent Valley Hockey league that started in the late 1800s and ran up until 1955? Stewart Richardson and Dave Barry have co-authored a book called Ice and Thunder. It has the history of the league and many stories of Marmora in the book. After 1955 the league became know as a Senior or Intermediate C or D hockey league that Marmora still iced a team to play in.
Marmora and Lake is hosting a Senior hockey game out of players from the league today. The game will be at 6:00 pm on February 29, 2020. There will be three 15 minute stop time periods with intermission. The Centre Hastings Grizzlies hockey will do a Cubs beginner skating showcase 1st intermission and a shoot to win after the second period.
We are inviting older players and participants of the league along with the book authors to the banquet hall for a 4:30 pm meet and greet. The hall and bar facilities will be open at 5:30 to the public.
