The Community Centre Hall will be available for rent starting Monday.

Starting July 27, 2020, the Marmora and Lake Community Centre Hall will be available for rent to the public. At this time, it is the only municipal facility taking bookings.

Staff and public will be asked to follow strict public health safety standards such as:

  • 50 people maximum

  • Enabling physical distancing which may include assigned seating

  • Cleaning and disinfecting equipment and high-touch surfaces as frequently as is necessary to maintain a sanitary environment

  • Recording each patron’s name and contact information to support effective contact tracing that helps keep everyone safe

  • Wearing a face covering

  • Using alcohol-based hand sanitizer or soap and water frequently

  • Staying home when feeling unwell

The Community Centre Hall can be booked for times between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm through Town Hall by contacting Jenn Bennett, Deputy Clerk at 613-472-2629 ext 2232 or jbennett@marmoraandlake.ca

The rate is $35 per hour as per the User Fee Bylaw 2020-16. This fee will be enforced for all groups and organizations wishing to use the space and will be paid through Town Hall. Once payment is received your booking is confirmed.

The Marmora and Lake Emergency Management Control Group has decided that the Community Centre will open first to make certain the standard of cleanliness is met to ensure public safety. Once staff has time to review the workload needed to maintain a rental space more facilities may open at a later date to be determined. The safety of the public and staff is the reason for the slow and careful opening of our public facilities.
