Municipal Updates: COVID-19 Policies in Effect Until Further Notice
The Municipality would like to give you the following updates effective immediately:
Landfill Hours
CLOSED EASTER MONDAY, APRIL 13, 2020
The landfill site will remain on open on reduced hours until further notice.
Saturday’s 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Monday’s 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
All usual procedures at Landfill are still in effect.
Bag Tags
For those residents who have curbside pickup: the Municipality will continue to offer one free bag of garbage per household each week at the curbside pickup until further notice.
All additional bags of garbage will require a bag tag.
Residents are encouraged to use curbside pickup as much as possible to limit the number of people at the landfill.
Municipal Buildings
All Municipal Buildings will remain closed to the public until further notice.
Service Ontario
Service Ontario will remain closed until further notice.
Total Fire Ban in Effect
There is a Restricted Fire Zone due to COVID-19: This fire ban supersedes the municipal fire ban and the Municipality of Marmora and Lake will adhere to it.
The fire department will not be responding to burning complaints and calls should be made to the OPP non-emergency reporting line: 888-310-1122 or on their website opp.ca through the REPORT ONLINE button.
