Quinte Waste Solutions COVID-19 Safety Protocols

As a result of COVID-19 and in consideration of the health and safety of all staff and residents, Quinte Waste Solutions will be postponing operations at the Household Hazardous Waste Depot located at 75 Wallbridge Crescent, Belleville, until further notice. This also includes the cancellation of all Mobile Events planned for May:

  • CANCELLED: Saturday, May 2 – Belleville Household Hazardous Waste Depot

  • CANCELLED: Friday, May 8 – Belleville Reuse Day

  • CANCELLED: Saturday, May 9 – Tyendinaga Township

  • CANCELLED: Saturday, May 23 – Tweed

  • CANCELLED: Saturday, May 30 – Marmora & Lake

As well, our Electronic Waste Program at our Material Recovery Facility (270 West Street, Trenton) remains closed to the public. We ask that all hazardous and electronic waste be held onto until we regain normal operations. We will continue to keep our website and social media platforms up to date with current information regarding all of our programs including Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste and the Blue Box Recycling Program. Quinte Waste Solutions (QWS) is the municipally operated organization responsible for blue box recycling and hazardous and electronic waste diversion programs throughout Centre and South Hastings County and Prince Edward County. We have been working with our nine member municipalities since 1990 to keep recyclable material, including hazardous waste, out of the landfill.
