Social Distancing and Playgrounds

Although we encourage outdoor play, please use caution when touching public surfaces including the playground equipment.

We would like to encourage families to limit social interaction whenever possible, including playgrounds and playdates. Younger children are likely to put objects in their mouth and share with each other. This can result in exposure to illness.

If you decide to use public playground equipment there are some steps you can take to protect your children which include:

  1. wipe down the equipment before and after use.

  2. cleaning your and your children’s hands with hand sanitizer at the end of your playground visit before travelling home.

  3. wipe down your steering wheel often

  4. immediately wash your and your children’s hands with warm soapy water when you get home.

Please practice social distancing to ensure the health and well-being of our community and our most vulnerable.
