Notice of Significant Weather Event
ALERT IN EFFECT: Freezing Rain Warning
The Municipality of Marmora and Lake have declared "significant weather" events as Environment Canada warns of freezing rain coming to the area.
During the significant weather event, we are advising motorists and residents to use extra caution as the municipality may not be able to meet its maintenance standards for roads, bike lanes, and sidewalks due to the heavy ice formation expected.
The declaration does not change how or when the municipalities perform their winter maintenance operations. However, it may take the municipalities longer than usual to bring the roads back to a state of repair.
The Municipality will provide updates when the significant weather event has ended.
Anyone with issue or concerns can contact the roads department at 613-472-6940.
