Deloro Community Garden

The Deloro Community Garden is run by an ad-hoc group of neighbours from Deloro who pool resources and labour to grow a variety of vegetables in a once empty field in the Village of Deloro. The bounty is then shared amongst the participating group. The goal is increased food security and access to healthy food choices for Deloro citizens.

Deloro residents who are interested in participating should come out to the garden in early spring when rototilling is occurring.

Donations of seeds, plants, soil, compost, fertilizers or any other garden tools or materials are always appreciated.

Harvest Hastings

Harvest Hastings celebrates food grown in Hastings County and the people who grow it. Hastings County is very diverse as it runs from Lake Ontario to Algonquin Park and the agricultural industry reflects this.

By buying locally you can support the farms and get fresh, high-quality food. You can also get to know the farmers and find out about how they farm.

Visit www.harvesthastings.ca and www.ontario.ca/foodland-ontario for more information.
